Stand visitors as happy as a child in a candy store! Mixed Reality makes it possible!
Mixed Reality: the technology of the future
Mixed Reality (MR) is increasingly being used in stand concepts at trade shows. That is not surprising, because an ever-growing group of experts agree that MR is the technology of the future. It is not without reason that Amsterdam RAI states that they see MR as one of the most important developments in the area of exhibitions & events.

VR, AR, MR, what exactly is it?
Although the terms VR, AR and MR are often used interchangeably, clear differences can be distinguished:
- With Augmented Reality (AR) a virtual layer is added to what you see of the physical world. This layer can consist of music, videos or, for example, photos and graphics. A well-known example of this is Pokémon Go.
- With Virtual Reality (VR) you step into an entirely virtual world. You put on glasses and you are in a completely different world. There is therefore no direct relationship between the real world and the virtual. A well-known example of this is a virtual roller coaster.
- Mixed Reality (MR) is the most unknown in the list. With MR a scan of the environment is made after which a virtual layer is added. This interacts with the environment but also with itself, for example. Mixed reality is therefore a combination of the best aspects from both AR and VR
Mixed Reality headset
You need a special headset for MR. An MR headset recognizes depth by using cameras and infrared sensors. Your environment is scanned continuously with an MR headset. The MR headset makes the environment completely digital.
Stand visitors as happy as a child in a candy store!
The possibilities of MR are unprecedented! This makes it possible to transform your exhibition stand into one large interactive candy store for your visitors. Imagine walking through the store with MR glasses. The shelves with products on your shopping list light up automatically, so you don’t have to search. Virtual arrows show you the perfect route. And offers that are interesting for you, get a striking color. And if you have questions about a product, all you have to do is look at the shelf. And that is of course also possible in an exhibition stand!
That makes an average stand visitor as happy as a child in a candy store. And if your stand visitors are happy with your stand, that naturally makes you happy as an exhibitor!
